*** CORONAVIRUS UPDATE ***
I have taken the decision to only see clients by video call or phone call for the time being. This is because I have family members who are either elderly or asthmatic and I can’t risk being a carrier. My apologies for this inconvenience but it keeps us all safe.
Counselling is a safe place for you to stop, take stock and explore the parts of your life that you are finding difficult. It’s a time for you to use for whatever you decide, and always without pressure or judgement.
I have particular experience in working with trauma and sexual abuse, but you can use counselling for all sorts of issues, for example self-esteem, stress, depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationships, suicidal thoughts, harassment at work, identity issues, breakup, or decision-making. Dealing with ‘unwanted habits’ of whatever kind can be a large part of counselling. Counselling can also be useful in helping us to understand the periods of change that we experience so frequently in our every-changing world.
My method of counselling is called person-centred. This recognises that we all experience our lives in our own individual way. It may not feel this way, but you have the potential to know more about yourself than anyone else. My job is to help you understand yourself better and find your own inner compass so you make decisions which suit you better. I aim to accompany you on your journey and help you build confidence in your ability to be in charge of your life.
Some people come for just a few sessions, some for longer. It’s up to you. Please be reassured that I am meticulous about confidentiality. For more details on this, click the button above marked Privacy.
Sessions cost £45 and last a full hour, and are by appointment only. 24 hours notice is required for cancellation or the full fee is payable.
I’m in the Shawlands premises of the Southside Counselling and Therapy Centre at 3 Carment Drive, Glasgow G41 3PP (not their Cathcart premises). There is metered parking nearby on Kilmarnock Road and also trains (Pollokshaws East) and buses 3, 4 (stagecoach Kilmarnock), 29, 29A, 38, 38A, 38B, 38C, 38E, 129, 323.
